Northwest Anglican Bellevue
The forerunner for the Northwest Anglican church plants, Northwest Anglican Bellevue began weekly meetings in January of 2011, and Fr. Aaron Burt has served as rector (priest in charge) since September. We meet every Sunday morning, 10.10am, at the Northwest Arts Center in Bellevue. (See map to the right.)
Our worship centers around God's word (the Bible) and God's table (communion), and we follow it with a time of fellowship over food and coffee. We love having children with us; they make up a large portion of our congregation. Kids will find it easy to participate in much of our service, and they have a special time of worship (through prayer, song, teaching, and play) during the sermon.
You can contact us to get on our email list for a full schedule of what we're up to. Plus see below for regular opportunities to connect beyond Sunday gatherings. We'd love to get to know you. Regardless of your familiarity with Anglicanism, liturgy, or Christianity, you're welcome to join us!
Opportunities to Connect
Women's Ministries
LENTEN DAY OF REFLECTION: Lent (which begins on February 22 this year) is fast approcahing. The women are gathering for a time of corporate reflection and teaching. This event will be held at our regular meeting space, the Northwest Arts Center in Bellevue, on Saturday February 18th, 9.30am-1.00pm. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Adults only at this gathering, please; no childcare provided.
BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP: The women also meet regularly to strengthen relationships and think critically about life in Christ. As a springboard for discussion, they read through a book together. The current book is the novel Gilead, by Marilynne Robinson.
For more information about these and other ways to connect with women, please contact our Women's Ministry Director, Aleta Franks at 360.721.2803 or alegar75@gmail.com. We would love to have you with us!
Men's Prayer Group (and more)
The men gather in downtown Bellevue every other week on Saturday mornings for prayer and discussion. These times are directed by the Book of Common Prayer, and the men are reading through Jeffrey Lee's Opening the Prayer Book as a way to get further acquainted with the Anglican liturgy. Come start your weekend with us as we sip coffee and enjoy fellowship in God's presence. Contact us, and we'll connect you with Joe Evangelisto, who organizes this gathering, as well as monthly hang-outs for the men!
