Northwest Anglican Portland

Credit: David FalconerWhat if you could worship God in a way that was both fresh and ancient? What if Sundays left you thinking, not about the pastor or yourself, but about Jesus? What if you belonged to a small community and to 80 million Christians globally... and countless more throughout history. What if you were part of an Anglican church?

Northwest Anglican Portland represents a call to Christians who desire to be historically rooted, socially involved, biblically inspired, and aesthetically rich. The call is simply this: Come create with us. Together let's craft a church that loves God and people, a church that serves God and people, a church that enjoys God and people. Let's plant an Anglican church that embodies all the best of Anglicanism in the heart of Portland.

If you're that kind of person, please contact us. Let's get to know each other a bit as we press forward into what God is doing with Northwest Anglican Portland. And drop in on one of our meetings. All are welcome!

Where We Meet, What We Do

Northwest Anglican Portland meets in a pub in east Portland called Caldera Public House. Caldera is located at 6031 Southeast Stark Street, 97215. (Click the address for a map.)

We gather at 6.30pm, every other Monday for a version of compline and the joy of each other's company. Our modified compline liturgy is appropriate to the setting, and it creates space for gospel discussion and the sharing of prayers, giving us a chance to come to know each other better as we grow in our knowledge of God.

If you're new to compline or to liturgy in general, this is a very accessible time of worship, while still being deeply rich and meaningful. Come check it out. Just look for the table with a priest in a collar sitting at it!

All ages are welcome, as Caldera Public House is family-friendly at all hours.

Portland Schedule
